FAQ for Login Credentials

What is a Login Identity (ID) and why do I need to create one?

A Login ID is the unique piece of information that purchasing systems use to connect virtually with retailers like Dell. You need to create a Login ID here so that it can be entered into your purchasing system and synced with Dell's internal system.

Should I create a new Login ID or use the default Login ID provided?

We suggested a Login ID for your organization, but feel free to change this if you need to. Once the Login ID is saved, it can no longer be changed for this integration.

In the breadcrumb and page title, "New" is replaced with the purchasing system name and "Integration" is replaced with the catalog type after the integration successfully launches. For example, "New Integration" becomes "Coupa PunchOut".

Login Credentials

Login Identity

Every integration requires a Login Identity (ID) that your purchasing system will use to connect with Dell. Please note that these credentials are not the same as your Premier account credentials, and by creating this Login ID you are not changing your Premier account username.
We have suggested a Login ID for you based on your selected purchasing system, but you may also create a custom Login ID.
Once the Login ID has been saved, it cannot be changed for this integration.
The login ID defaults to a concatenated value that is compatible with the selected purchasing system and our internal recommendation for IDs. The user can change the default ID. The footnote shows requirements from the selected purchasing system.

On 10/20/2017 Alex Anderson created the Login Identity (ID) that your purchasing system uses to connect with Dell. The saved Login ID cannot be changed.

Password (optional)

Your integration will be more secure if your purchasing system uses a password when connecting with Dell, however this is not required for all integrations. Please note that these credentials are not the same as your Premier account credentials, and by creating this Password you are not changing your Premier account password.
While "Show password" is selected, the actual password is displayed within the input field rather than asterisks. This is necessary so it can be entered correctly in the user's purchasing system.

On 10/20/2017 Alex Anderson updated the password that your purchasing system uses to connect with Dell. If you change the password here or delete it, then this modification must also be updated within your purchasing system.
